Weekend Events to Benefit James P. Wilmot Cancer Center
Winter Carnival and Keeping Hope Alive Social Highlight Busy Weekend

While Sunday’s Super Bowl will no doubt be the social event of the weekend, supporters of the James. P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center are also offering some opportunities for fun and good times with family and friends.

The inaugural Wilmot Winter Carnival will be held Saturday, February 5th from noon to 4:00 p.m at Eastview Mall.  With a $10 donation, children will be able to play carnival-type games throughout the mall.  Prizes will be awarded at each game and those playing all of the games will have their name entered into a drawing for great prizes!

Contact the Wilmot Cancer Center at 585-276-4717 or email Kimberly.cenzi@rochester.edu for more information.  All funds raised support patient care and cancer research at the Wilmot Cancer Center.

The 4th Annual Keeping the Hope Alive fundraising event will also be held Saturday, February 5th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Burgundy Basin Inn.  The event features music, silent auctions, great food and a great opportunity to mingle with friends. Tickets are $45 each and are available by contacting Paula Bokman at paula_bokman@urmc.rochester.edu  All proceeds benefit the Comprehensive Breast Care Center at the Wilmot Cancer Center.
