The Beauty Book for Brain CancerThe Beauty Book is a hard cover coffee table book with images of your favorite celebrities, musicians and top models. All the monies raised, will go directly to Brain Cancer via two charities called SNOG & HEADRUSH. These charitable organizations are non- profit and both rely on donations for research.

I founded this project in February 2009 after I lost my dear friend, Natalie Sattler Esposito to brain cancer in September 2008, she was 35 years old. This is one friend’s life that was cut way to short, so I used all my Hollywood connections to give brain cancer a voice and The Beauty Book was born.

In April 2010 I was introduced to an amazing person “Pantera” Sarah Uphoff, whose Mom at the time was battling brain cancer, Louise Uphoff. Pantera joined forces with me to rally many of her super star Celebrity friends to be photographed for The Beauty Book.  During the 2nd year of photographing people for this project her Mom Louise lost her battle with this disease in July 2011. Pantera and I have never been more determined to raise mega dollars for brain cancer research. 17,000 Americans, 2000 Australians and 280,000 worldwide are diagnosed with brain tumors every year. Brain Cancer is one of the leading cause’s in cancer-related death’s in patients younger than 35.

SNOG (Sydney Neurology Oncology Group) aims to improve the management of brain tumors through targeted research, information and constant scrutiny of treatment options. The group supports the efforts of a multidisciplinary team of Doctors including Neurosurgeons, Oncologists and Pathologists. SNOG is co-ordinating research into various radiation and drug protocols used in advance treatments of malignant tumors. The Group is involved in research projects that span the epidemiology, diagnostic images, surgical approach, tumor biology and drug trials.

HEADRUSH is a grassroots, solely volunteer-run, USA Madison-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to significantly improve the future of Brain Tumor research, treatment, and survivorship. HEADRUSH proceeds directly benefit the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center in the form of a Brain Tumor Research Professorship Award. .HEADRUSH spearheaded the establishment of a Brain Tumor Research Professorship at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center through the UW Department of Human Oncology. What is a Professorship? A professorship is an EVERLASTING source of research funds prestigiously awarded to a faculty member at a University, similar to an endowed chair. In our case, the UW doctor that receives the HEADRUSH Brain Tumor Research Professorship will have a focus and passion for significantly improving the future of brain tumor research, treatment, and survivorship, just like all the supporters of HEADRUSH. The doctor who is awarded this professorship will only be able to use the interest earned on the account, in part securing the longevity of the funds, and allowing the HEADRUSH Brain Tumor Research Professorship to last forever. The fund is managed and invested by the UW Foundation, so the research fund itself will last in perpetuity. HEADRUSH Professorship goal…It takes a minimum of $500,000 to establish a research professorship with the UW Foundation. Each year, with our raised funds, we added to our growing “pot” until were able to reach the $500,000 mark. Now that the professorship is established, our current goal is to increase our fund to $1M, because… more money=more interest=more research. There are less than one dozen Brain Tumor Professorships in the entire United States. Professorships provide an everlasting source of research funds, so you can be confident that your contribution is making a true difference.

The Beauty Book has the support of the biggest identities in the world who have all been photographed for this cause including; Amy Adams, Jessica Alba, Dianna Agron, Dave Annable, Samaire Armstrong,  Moran Atais, Selma Blair, Julie Benz, Justin bieber, Rachel Bilson, Emily Blunt, Kate Bosworth, Grant Bowler, Jesse Bradford, Mehcad Brooks, Joy Bryant, Gerard Butler, Kristin Cavallari, Justin Chambers, Lily Cole, Chace Crawford, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Miley Cyrus, Eric Dane, Rosario Dawson, Brooklyn Decker, Jenna Dewan, Taye Diggs, Minnie Driver, Hilary Duff, Josh Duhamel, Eliza Dushku, Ryan Eggold, Carmen Electra, Kayla Ewell, Chris Evans, Fergie, Beau Garrett, Rebecca Gayheart, Melissa George, Meagan Good, Delta Goodrem, Ashlan Gorse, Maggie Grace, Ashley Green, Brian Austin Greene, Bryan Greenberg, Ioan Grufford, Chelsea Handler, Samantha Harris, Liam Hemsworth, Chris Hemsworth, Christina Hendricks, Paris Hilton, Anna Hutchinson, Rachel Hunter, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Jojo, Zachary Levi, Cody Longo, Eva Longoria, Daren Kagasoff, Kim Kardashian, Stacey Keibler, Miranda Kerr, Lucus Kerr, Joanna Krupa, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, Rick Malambri, Gilles Marini, James Marsden, Leighton Meester, Rebecca Mader, Ryan McPartlin, Alex Meraz, Jesse Metcalfe, Rahda Mitchell, Sophie Monk, Dominic Monaghan, Josie Moran, Stephen Moyer, Carey Mulligan, Enrique Murciano, Petra Nemcova, Nancy O’Dell, Alex O’Loughlin, Orianthi, Hayden Panettiere, Anna Paquin, Frankie Rayder,  Ryan Phillippe, Michelle Rodriguez, Matthew Rhys, Denise Richards, Nicole Richie, Zoe Saldana, Ryan Seacrest, Nicole Scherzinger, Brittany Snow, Jesse Spencer, Sebastian Stan, Yvonne Strahovski, Jessica Szohr, Channing Tatum, Justin Timberlake, Cheyenne Tozzi, Tahyna Tozzi, Holly Vallance, Emily Van Camp, Shantel Vansanten, Milo Ventimiglia, Kate Walsh, Kerry Washington, Marlon Wayan, Ed Westwick, Shailene Woodley, Sam Worthington, Will.i.am, Odette Yustman.
